Yes. In order to be an active member of our community of Sourcing Experts, this is a requirement.

It’s very unlikely. Priority will always be given to those who have a profile online.

We use the online profiles of our Sourcing Experts, like the two example profiles shown above, to market the BuyHive solution to buyers around the world and to demonstrate to buyers the wide range of experts that we have in different locations who have expertise in many different products. The expertise of our Sourcing Experts is the product we are selling, and this is the most effective way for BuyHive to generate new sourcing project orders for you.

The following information is mandatory:

(1) your name or nickname (display name= First Name and first letter of Last Name, either your real name or a nickname),

(2) your location,

(3) total years of sourcing experience,

(4) product expertise, 

(5) sourcing market experience (places where you have sourced before),

(6) famous brands/companies that you have done sourcing for in your past jobs.

A headshot photo is preferred because it’s more appealing to buyers, but it’s not mandatory. If you prefer not to feature your headshot on your profile, we will use an avatar photo instead.

We will show the First Name and first letter of the Last Name of either your real name or your chosen nickname, e.g. “Leung Lee” will appear as “Leung L”.
